Knitting an I-Cord Edging

How to Knit I-Cord Edge

Since the release of my Yoda or Bat Hat Knitting Pattern a couple of years back (Sheesh!  It’s hard to believe it’s been that long!), I’ve been asked about the knitting technique used for the ears many times.  This knit edging is called an I-Cord Edge and is one of my favorite edge techniques to date!

The I-Cord Edging is perfect for a tidy, beautiful edge and is a super fun and simple technique…..once you get the hang of it.  The part that so many people have trouble with, though, is that this edge simply doesn’t start to look right until you’re at least a couple of inches in.

Check out this video on how to knit an i-cord edge now!  Then, if you’d like to give it a go, head over and grab my adorable Baby Yoda or Bat Hat Knit Pattern and get started.
