Best Confession Quotes…..Hehehe
We knit and crochet addicts need to have a little fun every so often too, right!? Nobody has to mention the fact that we’re usually having fun….with our hooks and needles, haha.
Anyways, I totally loved the response to the “Crafting Confessional” post a few weeks back….Sounds like we’ve all developed a few bad crafty habits along the way! The good news? We all have each other. Always and forever <3
Because I know you’ll enjoy them as much as I do, I’ve taken a few of my favorite quotes from the comments section of that post. My face hurt a bit from smiling all the way through, but these really made me giggle:
“My kids have to beg me to put down my knitting and cook dinner.”
“If ‘she who dies with the most (yarn/fabric/needles/embellishments….) wins’—- You can all stop shopping now. I own the title!”
“I also leave scraps of yarn EVERYWHERE! If I ever get lost, I am fairly certain, I could be like Gretel and find my way home with my trail of yarn scraps.”
“I hoard yarn, fabric, stamps, and any other crafting goodies that catch my fancy. Especially if it’s on sale.” [Just cracks me up how matter-of-fact this statement is!]
“I have several yarn mountains… I can’t resist a bargain when I see one and buy, buy, buy.”
“Darn craft stores.”
“I’ve just asked my 2 teenage girls what my bad craft habit is… I wish I hadn’t.”
“I tend to lose needles. And he finds them. In his foot.”

are you my twin? for me it was my dad who found the needle. once it was dropped we just walked away and waited for him to yell. NEEDLE FOUND.

That’s awesome! Sounds a little too familiar if you know what I mean…
Oh boy…I would get in a lot of trouble if my needles got found by my husband stepping on them! I secretly find them when cleaning…I look around to make sure he isn’t watching me…and I act like nothing ever happened. In my head I’m like “When did I lose this? I thought for sure… every time I use a needle, I put it right back where it is supposed to go!” I guess I am not as perfect as I like to think…heehheeehee
Yes, occasionally, we do need to laugh!
These were good….and I needed a laugh today..
Having had 4 beautiful babies, I totally know what you mean about this stage…it does hurt sometimes to laugh, but – was this in a song? “It hurts so good!”
Thanks for the laughs! (and, of course, for your yarny inspiration!)
Well here is one for you all. My little dog likes to make a bed out of my yarn while I knit. So yesterday while I was trying a design I made I got up for a minute to get my tape measure & when I came back one of my needles was missing. I searched high & low. After a half hour the dog got up. You guessed it he hid it under himself because I wasn’t paying attention to him!!!! LOL!! He rolled over like he discovered America or something so I would rub his belly!!!
Thank you for the giggles. I enjoyed reading them.
I have loved reading all your quotes and laughing with you.
When my kids were younger and it was mum’s taxi service, I always had yarn and hooks in the car as I am a self confessed crochet addict.
The catch cry from my kids whenever we drove near a yarn store was “Oh no theres a yarn store. Guess mum will be stoppping for a ‘fix'”. Hasn’t she got a big enough stash? Followed by lots of loud moaning and sighs.
I can totally relate to both, what u wrote about ur tummy and about the quotes. I know one thing for sure, laughter is good for anybody at ur stage and for me who is tired of frogging frogging frogging! take care.
