21 Days to Sweater Success!
Learn to knit or crochet a gorgeous sweater in just 21 easy days.
When I first started knitting and crocheting, I couldn’t even fathom how it might be possible for me to one day create a beautiful sweater. I remember seeing so many gorgeous garments that I wanted to try….but I’d always end up telling myself, “One day I’ll have the skills to make that. Not right now. It’s just not the time to learn.”
I was simply too intimidated to try something that looked so hard. I let that intimidation keep me away from sweaters for years.
Guess what? Now I know better!
Sweaters aren’t hard.
They’re mostly just super duper scary! I know….I’ve been there. I often found myself wishing for someone to walk me through each little step.
Which is exactly why I’ve created this awesome, step-by-step, easy as pie, 21 Days to Sweater Success Course.
Now is the right time.
I’ll be that person who holds your hand, is there to answer your questions, and helps you achieve what might seem impossible right now. We can do it together! We can do it quickly! Oh….and we can have fun along the way!
With in-depth videos for every step along the way, detailed written instructions, a community of amazing crafters to bounce questions off of if you need to, and me just an e-mail away…..failure simply isn’t an option.
I’ve created three versions of this fun pattern! One in crochet, one in knit worked in the round (yay for no seaming!) and one in knit worked on straight needles (so even if you’ve never wanted to work in the round, you can still create a gorgeous sweater!). Each version has multiple sizes (all the way from Newborn though 6 years) available.
For just $12.99, you’ll finally be able to create that beautiful sweater you’ve been dreaming of.

What does the sweater you’ll make during this course look like? Gorgeous.
This pattern is a really cute, striped sweater perfect for either gender. With options to make it more feminine (scalloped edging) or more masculine (ribbed edging), you simply can’t go wrong!
How does it work?
You can choose to purchase either the Baby version (includes all sizes Newborn, 0-3 Months, 3-6 Months, 6-12 Months, and 1-2 Years) or the Child version (includes all sizes 3 Years, 4 Years, 5 Years, and 6 Years) of the 21 Days to Sweater Success Course. When you purchase, your 21 Days to Sweater Success Course will be delivered to you as an instant download. You’ll receive a PDF for each size included in the version you purchased.
Each PDF is broken down into daily segments. Some of the segments (like the body of the sweater) are done over 3-4 days in order to keep you working at a slow and steady pace.
Included in the PDF is a link and password to a video resource page here on my site. When you purchase this course, you’ll have lifetime access to these helpful, step by step videos.
If you ever have any questions, I’m only an e-mail away! I pride myself on answering questions quickly (always within 24 hours) and I’m more than happy to help.
You can also join the Melody’s Makings’ Facebook group to be connected with hundreds of other knitters and crocheters who have also made this sweater. It’s a really fun group of over 3,000 crafters with a wonderful positive vibe. We’re always happy to add another awesome crafter to the fun.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Do I have to make it in 21 days?
Of course not! Since you have all the daily segments immediately after purchase, you can work as quickly or as slowly as you want. The 21 day framework is just a nice way to make sure you finish.
Is the pattern knit or crochet?
I’ve created both a knit version and a crochet version of this course. So you choose whichever works best for you!
How many sizes are included?
You can choose from either the baby version of this course, which includes 5 baby sizes, or the child version of this course, which includes 4 child sizes.
What skills should I already know?
For the crochet version, you should already know the basic stitches, like how to chain, how to single crochet, how to double crochet, and how to triple crochet (if you plan to do the optional lion embellishment). I’ll be covering everything else in my video tutorials.
For the knit version, you should already know how to knit, and purl. You can choose whether to do the seamless version worked in the round (and if so you need to know how to use circular needles and double pointed needles) or the seamed version worked on straight needles. If you do the straight version you’ll also need to know how to do the mattress stitch for your seaming (just ask if you need help finding a good video resource!). I’ll be covering everything else in my video tutorials.
What materials do I need?
Materials:
For the crochet version of this pattern:
- Yarn: Approximately 210 – 750 yards of worsted (4) yarn (I used Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice). I’ve included a detailed break down of approximate yarn requirements for each size in the PDFs you’ll receive after purchase.
- Crochet Hook: Size 5.5 mm (I/9) OR whatever size is needed to obtain gauge
- Yarn or Tapestry Needle
For the knit version of this pattern:
Materials:
- Yarn: Approximately 200 – 740 yards of worsted (4) yarn (I used Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice). I’ve included a detailed break down of approximate yarn requirements for each size in the PDFs you’ll receive after purchase.
- Knitting Needles: Size 5.5 mm (US9) OR whatever size is needed to obtain gauge. You can choose to use Straight Needles and seam your final project or to use Straight Needles, and Double Pointed Needles to avoid seaming and work your project in the round.
- Yarn or Tapestry Needle
What if I don’t love it?
All of my patterns come with a 100% money back guarantee. If you don’t love it, then I don’t want you to pay for it. Simple as that. I do ask, though, that you at least make the project (with proper gauge) before requesting a refund. Because you won’t know if you love it until you try it, and it won’t fit correctly if you don’t match gauge, I always request a photo of your gauge measured on your finished project before processing your refund.

I’d have bought this in a heartbeat if it hadn’t been limited to children’s sizes. Is it just a case of multiplying the stitch numbers, or are there other factors?
Hey Veronica! It would probably be fairly easy to increase to an adult size, but I would recommend watching for the February Mystery Create-A-Long. It will be covering very similar information and will have all the adult sizes…..Oh! And it’s GORGEOUS!
Are you willing to give me a discount for buying baby and child sizes, 2 sizings of pattern, or for all 4?. Also, does the child’s version have hat and pant pattern included (before December 9)? I didn’t see crochet pants.
Thank you.
Hey Mk! Yes, we can work something out for the multiple sizes. Could you please email me at [email protected]? Then we can chat details 🙂
I don’t need the 21 day course on how to knit a sweater but I do want to purchase the pattern. I have already purchased the pants pattern and now want to get the hat and sweater so is there some way I can do this without having to purchase the course? Thank you, Peggy
I’m sorry Peggy, but this pattern is only available in the course style. I do have a 50% off sale happening right now though 🙂
