My mom recently sent me this super cute photo….I have no idea where it came from, or who created it, but they’ve got me pegged……My reply to her was “Minus the cats (I’m allergic), I’m pretty sure that’s what heaven looks like.”
In celebration of reaching 10,000+ Facebook Friends, I’ve set out to bring you a giveaway featuring all the yarn and pattern shops that I’m fairly sure I’ll see on the other side of those pearly gates. I don’t host giveaways very often, so when I do, I like to make it awesome! So kick back, scroll through all the drool-worthy prizes, and enter to win (details are below)…..because I’m pretty sure “This Just Might Be Heaven.”

I think it’s just me….but I don’t see any Like buttons next to the vendor names. I tried searching for them on Facebook too, but couldn’t find a lot of them. Am I missing something?
It may be whatever browser you’re using….they should be just below the name. It should also have the page pop up to like inside the Rafflecopter though. So just try skipping straight to that and see if it gives you options to like them there. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Has anyone else been blocked by Facebook for “liking” pages? I received a notification from them that I liked too many pages in the last 30 days, and will not be able to like anymore for the next 30 days. Also any “liking” that I’ve done in the last 30 days has been wiped, which means any of the vender pages I no longer like (even thought I was REALLY!!! enjoying them) I am sure this has something to do with the massive amount of pages I needed to like for this contest.

I don’t know if it is possible to report someone for that, this has never happened to me before, but I thought I would at least pass on the information. So I received this warning when I booted up facebook today;

Melody, Would like to give you a heads up. After entering this giveaway which required to like many pages. I have been blocked by fb for 30 days in being able to like pages. Also all my likes for the past 30 days have been removed. So if you go to conform my entries they will not be there. I am not upset about being blocked but I am sad about missing out on all the great crochet related posts that I will not see now. There are many of us today that have been blocked.

Just a warning but I “liked” some (OK, quite a few, lol) of the pages above and Facebook has now blocked me from liking page for 30 days because I liked too many pages this week. Thanks to your having us “like” so many vendors, I am now blocked from “liking” anyone. I really think you went a little overboard with it being “mandatory” to ‘like’ 40 something vendors. Especially since I do not knit, I can only crochet. It would have been nice if we were allowed to pick the vendors we wanted to follow, as some of them looked very interesting. But now because of this ban, I am going to have to ‘unlike’ all of them. Do not feel you did the right thing for you potential customers or your fellow vendors.

I have had the facebook problem too. I was given no reason for the block but found out via another page that it was happening to everyone. I sent facebook a notice appealing due to the fact that I actually did like the pages because I was interested in following them and that I personally would not be using them for advertising in the future as just imagine how much business may have been lost as a result. I think everyone should express their displeasure, whether you are a vendor or a customer. What right do they have to do this to us? IF I was paying to promote my page I would be taking it further than a complaint, thats for sure. The irony of this situation is that after blocking and unliking pages for me, they go ahead and suggest a dozen more for me to “like” Umm Hello I can’t like anything right now. Idiots!!!
Can you please tell me how you did the appeal? I would love to do this also. I think it is completely crazy that Facebook is telling us that we can only like a few pages.
If you go into your notifications, the message telling you you are restricted from liking pages should still be there. Click on it and another page comes up telling you when you are banned till. (Click on that again) and there should be an appeal button down the bottom which you can also click on. Then you can write what ever you would like to say. I have not heard anything back from them and have been told that it was probably all a computer automated response from their end. Still rude that they do not check these things though. I hope that if enough people speak up they will fix it. 🙂
I liked all of these on facebook a couple of days ago when I joined the giveaway. When I got to my PC this morning I got a message from facebook that I have been blocked from “liking” pages. It also said that they removed all of my likes from the past 30 days. Please do not dismiss my name from the drawing because of this. I’ll try to like all of these pages as soon as it will let me and I’ll do it 5 at a time instead of all at once. Maybe that will work.
I just appealed the block on my faecbook page. Hopefully it will lift soon and give me back all of these likes.
