Crochet Tutorial: Moss Stitch
The crochet Moss Stitch, also known as the Granite Stitch, is a super easy and fun stitch technique that produces a gorgeous texture. Since it’s made up solely of Single Crochet Stitches and Chains, it’s an easy pattern for any beginner to master, but also fun for the more experienced crocheter.

Written instructions for the Crochet Moss or Granite Stitch (worked flat):
Chain an even number of sts
Row 1: SC into the 4th chain from hook, *CH1, skip the next chain, SC into the next chain* Repeat to end of row.
Row 2: CH2, SC into the next CH1 space, *CH1, skip the next stitch, SC into next CH1 space* Repeat across, ending with a SC in the CH3 space from Row 1.
Row 3: CH2, SC into the next CH1 space, *CH1, skip the next stitch, SC into next CH1 space* Repeat across, ending with a SC in the turning chain space from previous row.
Continue to repeat row 3.

I tried making the cabled cloche hat and got stuck with the cabling. Couldn’t get it right at all.. any advice?
