Snug as a bug in a rug….

What in the world does this saying really mean?

I can’t tell you 100% for sure, but I’m gonna guess that someone was looking at a similar sight to what I recently saw when they first uttered this phrase.

My Garden Cocoon Knitting Pattern has been one of my top sellers for years now.  It’s cute, quick (because it’s made of super bulky yarn), and actually quite practical.

Towards the end of my pregnancy, I decided to go ahead and create the crochet version of this popular design….and boy am I glad I did!  Netherlee is a little snuggle bug.  She wants to be held close and cuddled all the time.  So, in those first few days after birth, she wasn’t so pleased with me whenever I set her down.

After a long day of baby snuggling, though, I slipped her into this little cocoon.  She slept….and slept….and slept some more!  Like a rock.

So, if you need an adorable photo prop or baby shower gift that might actually come in quite useful for those snuggly little ones, I highly recommend this pattern.
