  1. Thank you so much for bringing awareness to this debilitating disease that is so often swept under the rug and for sharing your beautiful patterns.
    Much Love,
    Brenda

  2. I do meditate. I have played around with several apps, loved Headspace, but came upon one called Meditate and I have really loved it. It’s amazing how much those few minutes a day calm my mind. Now even just preparing to meditate and beginning the breathing has an immediate effect. I love it!

  3. I love to use the app Calm on my cellphone for guided meditations. I still have trouble staying awake during meditation, but it also includes sleep guidance. I have trouble staying asleep due to anxiety and this is a great help to close down the monkey mind.

  4. My favorite source for quided meditations is Jennifer Lane’s patreon page. You can sign up and see other beautiful content at: beautyloveandmagic.com.
Michael DeMaria’s you tube channel has wonderful meditation techniques for everyone, especially beginners.

  5. I’ve never been successful at meditation because my mind won’t stop churning. The closest I’ve gotten is meditation is after yoga classes, but the apps sound interesting. Thanks for the suggestions 🙂

    • Meditating is exactly about letting the mind churn while being the quiet observer. It’s not about making the mind quiet, as much as bringing awareness to how busy it is. Once you start to let those thoughts just come and go without judgment, they tend to show up less often 🙂

  6. I have meditated every single day for over 422 days but I have actually been meditating for over 750 days. I just wasn’t consistent for a while. It has saved me, hands down. It help me get through some of the worst situations I have ever experienced over the 3-4 years with my son being totally violent and crazy with drinking. It’s helped me through much, much more than that.
I am a very emotion based person and it’s calmed me and helped me sit with these emotions, some very, very painful ones, and helped me get out of my head and calm my heart. I use Insight Timer on my iPhone and the community on there has become a second family to me. I can’t emphasis enough how important it is and how it’s healed me, both mentally and emotionally, as well as physically. I was so stressed out that I was actually starting to get sick. It’s easy to do and so beneficial for us.
I tried to do Transcendental Meditation in the early 70s but it just didn’t click with me.
This meditation app has. Come join us!!

    • I’m gonna have to check this app out too! Thank you so much for your comment confirming all the awesome benefits you can get from meditating regularly. I now do a 75 minute meditation nearly every day….sometimes I have to skip it, but I always miss it when I do.

  7. My type of meditating would be in the morning with a cup of coffee and the whirling-whistling sounds of the wind, a beautiful start of the day!

  8. Thank you for your words on this. I guess Kristin i do do what you say just never thought of it as meditation. And perhaps that is why that whirring happens less often now then it use to. I do sit there and listen to my thoughts and answer back at times, it helps too. I found calming in spiritualism and poetry.
